Choosing a winter jacket: check the filling and lining on the listing (cotton, polyester fiber, fleece or down), whether the jacket is hooded, and how thick it is described. Cuts range from slim-fit to loose, and from short jackets to long coats.

Sizing: compare your chest, shoulder and sleeve measurements with the size chart on the product page. Several listings note that Asian sizes run one to two sizes smaller than European and American sizes and suggest choosing the larger size if you are between two.
